Top 100 Most Expensive Colleges (2009)

Wednesday October 21, 2009

CampusGrotto.com has just published their list of the top 100 most expensive colleges for the 2009-2010 school year. Naturally, many of the names sound like something you have to say while raising your eyebrows and sticking your jaw out like Thurston Howell from Gilligan's Island.

Here's the top five most expensive colleges for 2009:

  • Sarah Lawrence College ($54,410 per year)
  • New York University ($51,991 per year)
  • George Washington University ($51,730 per year)
  • Bates College ($51,300 per year)
  • Skidmore College ($51,196)

Of course, most of these schools offer significant financial aid to qualifying students. But, at more than $200,000 each for a four year degree, these schools can make even the most well-heeled parents a little queasy.
