If you're feeling a little stretched by the tuition at your local state college, this list of the Top 25 Most Expensive Colleges may help ease the pain a little.
The list, put together by CampusGrotto.com, ranks Sarah Lawrence College as the most expensive school in the nation at a whopping $53,166 for tuition, room, and board for the 2008-2009 school year.
George Washington University, New York University, Georgetown University, and Connecticut College round out the Top 5.

That list is a little misleading, I think. For example, compare Middlebury (#2) and Swarthmore (#69). When you add it all up it’s much more similar:
