Recently, I posted a request in the Saving for College forum for people to share their experiences using MyRichUncle.com, a private student loan company that has embarked on an aggressive ad campaign.

In a twist of irony, MyRichUncle.com now says that they have no funds to lend.

According to the company's website, the lack of funds is due to constraints in the capital markets and a high demand for loans.

Thus, as before, the best options for anyone wanting to finance a college education are Federal Student Loan programs such as Stafford, Perkins, and PLUS loans.

To learn more about applying for Federal financial aid, check out my step-by-step article on completing the FAFSA form.
